FRIDAY 11/16

The Fest begins with a welcome party/Heimatabend 8pm on Friday evening.

What To Wear: Boarisch G'wand - Your own personal Bavarian outfit, which might include a soft Mieder, skirt, apron and blouse of choice for a woman and vest, socks, tie and shirt of choice for a man. An "Oktoberfest outfit" i.e. short Dirndl would not be appropriate at this event. You may also choose to wear a club outfit. If you have questions about what is acceptable please reach out to Christine. Take advantage of the opportunity to wear personal items you've perhaps purchased in Germany recently!

SAT 11/17

On Saturday afternoon, a Fahnenweihe Mass, at St. Vincent Archabbey, which is ocated on the campus of St. Vincent College in Latrobe, will take place. An evening banquet and festivities at Seven Springs will follow. S.T.V. Bavaria’s chorus will help lead the music at the Mass.

10:30am Meet in lobby to get flowers and packets

12:30pm Meet in lobby to get on shuttle

1:00pm shuttles leave!

2:30pm Mass (We will be seated at the front of the church behind Isartaler, men on the right, women on the left)

5:00pm Doors open to banquet hall

5:30pm Parade of flags, Dinner, speeches, presentations, etc begin

6:30pm OUR EHRENTANZ!

What to Wear: These are in order of preference. If you own Festtracht, please wear it. If not, then go to the second option, and so on. While traditionally we have options beyond Vereins Gwand (black & red), this Mass and event are not an event where a Dirndl would be appropriate. 


WOMEN:

*Choir Members* Black and Green Dirndl: with green and white striped apron. (Please confer with choir leaders on these and further details).

First Option Festtracht: Hard Mieder with chains and loops, shawl, white blouse, green skirt, slip, bloomers, white stockings, white apron, black dance shoes, flowers & ferns, hat with feather.

Second Option Halbtracht: Hard Mieder with chains (no loops), no shawl, white blouse, green skirt, slip, bloomers, white stockings, white apron, black dance shoes, flowers & ferns, hat with feather.

Third Option Tanzgwand: Black soft Mieder, white blouse, green skirt, slip, bloomers, white stockings, white apron, black dance shoes.

Fourth Option Vereins Gwand: Black soft Mieder, white blouse, black skirt, slip, bloomers, white stockings, red silk apron, black dance shoes.

Fifth OptionChurch attire: Consider this a wedding and dress apropriately! No jeans, shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, tennis shoes, etc.


MEN:

*Choir Members* Bundhosen with white button up shirt and green tie. (Please confer with choir leaders on these and further details).

First Option Festtracht: Lederhosen, white button-up shirt with sleeves rolled up (no buttons on the collar), green silk tie, vest, Loferl/socks/bummeln, black dance shoes, hat w/ feather, Jope if you have one.

Second Option Halbtracht: Lederhosen, white button-up shirt with sleeves rolled up (no buttons on the collar), green silk tie, vest, Loferl/socks/bummeln, black dance shoes, hat w/ feather, Jope if you have one.

Third Option Tanzgwand: Lederhosen, white button-up shirt with sleeves rolled up (no buttons on the collar), green silk tie, vest, Loferl/socks/bummeln, black dance shoes, hat w/ feather, Jope if you have one.

Fourth Option Vereins Gwand: Lederhosen, white button-up shirt with sleeves rolled up (no buttons on the collar), red silk tie, vest, Loferl/socks/bummeln, black dance shoes, hat w/ feather, Jope if you have one.

Fifth Option Church attire: Consider this a wedding and dress apropriately! No jeans, shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, tennis shoes, etc.

SUN 11/18

Sunday brunch will be avaiable at Seven Springs resort for those who would like to continue celebrating.
