We Have A New Pattenkind!

S.T.V. Bavaria is now a Pattenverein!  For most of those in attendance, this will be a once in a lifetime experience that no one will soon forget. What is a Pattenbitten? Vereine that are hoping to join the Gauverband Nordamerika must ask another established club to sponsor or "parent" them in. We were honored to be asked of this by G.T.E.V. D'Lustigen Isartaler. After several "tests" and an evening filled with laughter, S.T.V. Bavaria happily accepted their request to be their Pattenverein. The weekend was capped off with a beautiful performance by our Choir singing at the Mass at St. Stephens on Sunday morning.  Many of our members and some from Pittsburgh were dressed in Tracht, and our choir left our new friends with quite a favorable impression. Overall, the Pattenbitten was such a terrific evening! A very big thanks go out to Christine Ott and Stefanie Huffman for putting together the event.
